What is the most important thing in B.Tech?

8/27/2013 12:23:00 AM

B.Tech is a long course. It takes 4 years to complete it. So many tests, exams, practicals etc. make it a challenging one. But, go and ask a person who has finished B.Tech, he would tell you that 4 years passed in just a blink.

India has got so many engineering colleges, and new ones are coming up every day. There are so many students who join a college even without proper understanding of the course. Anyways, once you are in, you should do best and come out with flying colors.

B.Tech is a professional course, and if you are not able to get into a profession after finishing the course, then you have wasted so much money and time, and these both are very important in life. Hence, what's needed is to be vigilant about the things happening around you. Try to learn new things, and be open to the world.

Here is a rough roadmap which a student can follow easily:
1st Year - Learn and practice the concepts of programing properly - Learn C & C++ thoroughly
2nd Year - Learn the Database concepts, SQL PL/SQL etc. Learn DataStructures & Algorithms.
3rd Year - Study the Data Modeling, Web programming like ASP.net, PHP, JSP etc.
4th Year - Take up a proper problem from your surroundings and develop a solution to solve that problem.

Many of the students don't take the Project seriously. They believe in buying it for 3-4 Thousand Rupees. That's a very bad practice. It is very important that you look into a problem, try and understand that; and then work for a solution of that problem. Once you start working on the problem, you get real practical experience and difficulties, which validate your knowledge about the subject.

Apart from the above Academic points, another very important need to learn in B.Tech. is "Speaking English and Team Skills". You should practice to speak English with your friends and teachers. Take out the stage fear from you and give speeches. Learn how to divide a work with your friends and work like a team.

Also, DO NOT EXPECT that teachers would teach you everything in Engineering. It's you who has to take the step, and start learning. At the end of 4 years, you cannot say that - "My teachers did not teach me this" or "This wasn't in the syllabus". The idea is that "You need to become responsible for yourself". College only gives you the degree, acquiring Knowledge totally depends on you only.

We will come up with relevant courses aligned in a proper way. Please subscribe, follow up and get ready to Learn !!
